Art as Connection, Art as Play, Art as Change

For Daniel Djuro-Goiricelaya, art is not a solitary act—it’s a shared experience rooted in community, play, and transformation. His projects El Patio de Mi Casa and La Casita de Bambú bring this vision to life.

Originally created in the backyard of Daniel’s home in Harlem, El Patio de Mi Casa began as an intimate space for gathering, creating, and reimagining art as a communal ritual. Now based in the Lehigh Valley, it continues to evolve as a hub for participatory art-making. It hosts La Casita de Bambú, an immersive artist residency where artists live, work, and engage deeply with the local community.

Residents are invited to collaborate with institutions like the Allentown Art Museum, Arts Academy Elementary Charter School, LVACA, and others—merging studio practice with education, dialogue, and public engagement.

Through workshops, performances, and collaborative projects, Daniel fosters spaces where curiosity leads, process is honored, and art becomes a way of living and connecting.

Join the journey. Create. Play. Connect. Change.
