Artist Statement:
My work is a journey through memory, light, and emotion—an attempt to return to the innocence and raw wonder of seeing the world for the first time. I am guided by a childlike curiosity, allowing color, texture, and gesture to lead me into unfamiliar territory where the personal and the universal meet.Through abstraction, I explore nostalgia—not as a longing for the past, but as a sensory language rooted in place, family, and fragments of time. Each brushstroke, each found object or natural element I incorporate, holds a memory or echoes a landscape I once knew. Light is not just illumination in my work—it is feeling, movement, and a reminder of the fleeting.Much of my process is unstructured and intuitive, shaped by improvisation, chance, and a reverence for nature. I collaborate with my materials—letting rainwater stain the canvas, inviting organic decay, embracing imperfections. This openness allows my practice to become a ritual of presence, a space where stories surface without words.I am deeply interested in how we carry memory in our bodies and how art can help us remember—through texture, through color, through the act of making. Whether through painting, installation, or performance, I try to create spaces that feel alive and responsive—sanctuaries where people can slow down, reconnect, and perhaps recognize something of themselves.Ultimately, my work is about returning—to play, to vulnerability, to the quiet truths we often overlook. It’s about honoring the beauty of the unknown and the tender terrain of being human.
